2026 Ohio Minimum Wage Increase
Effective January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in Ohio will increase to $11.00 per hour for non-tipped employees and $5.50 per hour for tipped employees. This increase in minimum wage applies to all Ohio companies with annual gross receipts of at least $405,000.00. If an Ohio company has less than annual gross receipts of $405,000.00, then the federal minimum wage rate will still apply to that business. The federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour for non-tipped employees and employees who are 14 or 15 years old. For tipped employees, the federal minimum wage is $2.13 per hour as long as this amount plus tips exceeds the minimum wage for non-tipped employees.
